Many Shades of Louise Gray

Back in May, Louise Gray announced she was to produce a make up collection in collaboration with high street store, Topshop. This was launched online and into stores this week to an anticipated hype. Gray has also designed a clothing collection to coincide with the launch of her make up collection.
Both ranges take inspiration from Gray's signature way out style, along with her love of texture and colour. The clothing collection consists of six pieces, comprising of separates and party dresses in simple shapes but in clashing colours and textures.
The make up collection follows suit to the clothing range - bright, bold, multi coloured products and packaging. With products sporting names such as Pink Legend Lipstick, Orange Dart Nail and Wave Machine Eye Duo, you know you'll be brightening up your day with these beauty specials!
Prices from £6.50 and available as of 23rd August.

Vintage dress for an antique afternoon

We had beautiful sunny weather last weekend, time to rock out the summers dresses and sandals!
I opted for a vintage Kate Moss for Topshop dress. Vintage is a loose terminology for the dress, considering it is only about 3 years old! But it is an original from her first collaboration with Topshop. With its floral poppy design mixed with the industrial metal barbed wire, this dress is innocent and floaty with a rocky edge. Perfect for my trip round the antique emporium that day!
With cream leather sandals, my black Chanel bag and accessorised with skull bangles and black beaded bracelets. All in all a great day for fashion and antique bargains!

Wedding outfit

I always love a good wedding, especially when the suns shining, drinks are flowing and you're with your close friends. Friends of ours got married at Stoke Rochford Hall on Monday, nice venue, made even better by the glorious sunshine!
I thought I'd share with you my wedding day outfit!
Once I'd chosen my dusky pink dress, I paired it with Gold peep toe sling backs and gold oversized clutch bag. This was then accessorised with my gold Guess watch and Cartier love bracelet and a swarvoski bangle.
I love getting dressed up for a wedding, any excuse for a nice outfit!

Studs, Spikes and Chains

Studding has been in every shop for the past few seasons, and it looks like its here for the long term. From jeans to tee's and shirts to bags, customised clothing is at an all time high. Sometimes less is more and I've got some more subtle pieces of studding, spikes and chains that can jazz up any outfit!
I found the gold and black ribbon chain necklace in my bottom drawer and always thought it was a little too heavy as a necklace. So twisting it round my wrist three times i gave it a new lease of life as a chunky bracelet. I wore it to work that day and it actually felt quite expensive, a far cry from its Primark roots! This is easily done with any necklace and if it's a tad too short, make it looser and have the end hanging like a tail!
To create a bit a drama in your hair, I found this great rose gold and gold spiked hair tie from H & M. A basic black elastic hair tie with an array of plastic spikes makes a simple ponytail more like a stallions tail!!
The last piece I purchased was a faux leather, gold studded bag from this seasons H & M. The 'pleather' is an excellent imitation and the gold studs give it an expensive look.
Excellent key pieces for Autumn/Winter '12 with no arts and crafts customisation!

Freja Beha for Zara

As much as we'd not like to admit it, autumn is creeping up on us faster than we'd like it too. The high street stores dwindling sale rails are being moved aside for the new autumn/winter '12 range and where better to start looking for autumn inspiration than Zara.
Zara's campaign for the forthcoming season is fronted by Danish model, Freja Beha Erichsen. 24 year old Beha is a model in demand and even has clutches, handbags and boots named after her.
The campaign has a 1960's Jean Shrimpton style, mixed with 90's Kate Moss during her Johnny Depp stint feel to it. Beha looks amazing, so much so you nearly forget about the clothes! Nearly being the operative word, with black leather studded skirt, thick knit jumpers, tulip dresses and stylish blazers. I actually can't wait till this hits the shops!!!

For Sale

Writing about fashion is all well and good, but I have to buy the clothes, shoes and jewellery to blog about! I like to list my second hand bargains on E bay first, but if they don't sell I take them to my local charity shop (#doing my bit!)
I just thought I'd give you a heads up on some great items I've just listed on E bay! From shoes, dresses, antique wall unit to jewellery and skirts! Check me out Nadsb23

'Can't make it's mind up weather' outfit!

It's warm and muggy but the suns not out! Dilemma in my eyes as to what outfit to wear! Too much flesh with not enough sunshine equals 'you're not abroad love', but too many clothes in a muggy 24 degrees with a clammy face is not a good look! I've opted for my high waisted Levi's and a thin floral shirt top, twinning this with a blazer I believe is the perfect combo!
Shirt from H&M, current season
Levi's from Vintage store on EBay.
More outfits to come!

Kooky in Kukee

I'm always looking for cool costume jewellery at a good price. With fashion changing so fast, spending a lot of money on quirky, 'in' pieces is a waste in my opinion. I'd read on a couple of blogs about Kukee, so thought I'd check it out and see if the products were as good as the hype!
I actually couldn't believe how cheap everything was! Accessible for anyone and everyone, with prices starting from £1.50 and the most expensive item was around the £6 mark. From spiked bracelets, cross earrings and quirky rings, to gold necklaces and leatherette bracelets.
I ordered a few pieces that i liked and to suss out the quality too. The earrings were incredibly lightweight, but what do you expect at £1.50! I am actually in the process of filling my shopping bag for my next order!

Little vintage number.

I've recently been living in my cons and jeggings and thought its about time to expose those legs! Summer may still be deciding what season it is, but I will not let this defeat me! I picked up this cute vintage style dress from a well known supermarket of all places! I really liked the ditsy print and floaty material, very reminiscent of a original 60's style dress. I twinned the dress with a leopard print belt and customised matching print loafers. NCCB x

What I bought in Sheffield!

Just returned from visiting my sister in Sheffield this weekend and thought I would share my purchases with you! Sheffield is a really cool place, with great architecture, funky bars and individual shops. The town centre hosts all the basics from River Island, Topshop and H&M to classic vintage shops such as Freshers, Cow and New Shop. There are also great independent shops such as Sa'Kis, Eton and Ark for some classic pieces.
Sheffield really has something for everyone, and it helps that they are incredibly friendly too!
